About The Position

Value Added Distributors is hiring a highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and data-driven problem solver to join us full-time and play a key part in our customers' satisfaction! As our Vendor Managed Inventory Associate, you'll work closely with internal teams and sales staff to ensure we meet customers' expectations and provide them with all the supplies and materials they need. Your efforts will directly support customer satisfaction and accurate inventory procedures! You'll monitor customer inventory, analyze sales data, forecast business needs, and strategically prepare replenishment orders to ensure customers maintain optimal stock levels. Accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction will be your top priorities, and you'll regularly communicate with key contacts about the customer's changing needs. Attentively, you'll review biannual reports, maintain updated customer files, and generate detailed reports for management. You'll jump in as needed to resolve supply chain issues, support business development and sales initiatives, and assist with product pulling/receiving/delivery. Requirements

  • 21+ years old with 2+ years of driving experience in all weather conditions
  • Ability to travel to customers on a daily basis (up to 1.5 hours one way)
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card and Class C Non-CDL driver's license
  • Ability to safely lift 65 pounds using proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to type 25+ wpm
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to remain objective while under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify data trends and forecast inventory needs
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills, respectful team spirit, and an open mind for new perspectives
  • Positive attitude and a drive to meet goals in alignment with company objectives

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with logistics or supply chains
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic components
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ERP systems, particularly Epicor
