The student will work with the Mechatronics Systems Engineering group to support vehicle calibration, testing, and data analysis activities, while also contributing to system-level development. This team focuses on defining and optimizing control strategies to ensure vehicle performance meets desired outcomes on current and future production programs. The Mechatronics Systems Engineering group is responsible for vehicle-level system verification, calibration, and testing to support new product launches, current product enhancements, and future driveline innovations. In addition, the team defines and develops the mechatronic system-covering control algorithms and electrical architecture-for innovative and leading-edge driveline applications. They work closely with customer and internal requirements, as well as hardware component technologies, to deliver robust design solutions and maintain best practices for mechatronic system development and software control logic. The team also contributes to the development of test methods, procedures, and custom equipment for both vehicle and system-level validation.
