About The Position

As an intern, you will collaborate with engineers to execute, track, and report on development and test tasks for radar, video, and ultrasonic based ADAS features. You will support calibration activities and testing in-vehicle, depending on project needs. This role provides hands-on exposure to automotive testing processes, data collection, and cross-functional teamwork in a dynamic development environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to document results clearly and update stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive in controlled environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Hands-on, practical mindset with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Competence in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, Bash) used to automate tests, process data, or build lightweight test utilities
  • Experience with data capture, logging, analysis, and validation using automotive measurement tools.
  • Basic understanding of ADAS features (e.g., adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, automatic emergency braking) and sensor modalities (radar, camera, ultrasonic, LiDAR).
  • Familiarity with creating, prioritizing, and tracking tasks and issues.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electronic systems, ECUs, and network topologies (CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Proficient in setting up and using measurement instruments for data capture, diagnostics, and validation.
  • Exposure to automotive electronics hardware, bench testing, debugging, and/or work with HIL environments; practical understanding of how hardware and software interact in a vehicle context.

Responsibilities

  • Debug and troubleshoot ADAS functions using automotive development tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANape.
  • Perform testing of functions, features, and performance, with documentation of test results.
  • Analyze and document test results according to established processes.
  • Support the team with re-simulation, data mining, labeling, and testing activities.
  • Assist with vehicle integration tasks (e.g., flashing, debugging, troubleshooting) and ensure proper setup.
  • Test real-world scenarios in a vehicle and document results as needed.
  • Drive vehicles to and from customer sites as required.
  • Contribute to small development projects aimed at increasing testing efficiency.
  • Collect vehicle data as needed.
  • Help manage inventory of test and development equipment.
  • Update process documentation (operator instructions, guides, forms, etc.).
  • Prepare test environments (vehicle/bumper setup, CANape configuration, DGPS, etc.).
  • Communicate testing status and any impediments to project stakeholders.
