The Vehicle Evaluation Manager is responsible for delivering a full spectrum of Quality Objectives within all areas of Manufacturing through the management of key aspects of the plant's QOS, audit functions, and other data-driven activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in multiple departments with the plant

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree desired or applicable Quality Background
  • Solid manufacturing experience/knowledge
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified Preferred
  • Knowledge of SPC, data analysis methodology, and sampling
  • Knowledge of QOS, QLS, FPS, Lean Manufacturing, and working experience in the deployment of problem-solving methodology
  • Candidate must possess competent interpersonal skills that continually seek to achieve win-win outcomes when handling employee and UAW issues.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a standardized Quality Operating System that incorporates best practices while managing teams of Quality Engineers and QOSC’s.
  • Coordinate and lead key Quality meetings, such as the FCPA review, VQRs, and Joint Quality meeting,
  • Lead departmental efforts in attaining plant FPS goals and objectives.
  • Provide an efficient robust system for the collection and feedback of both internal and external field data.
  • Champion Vehicle Quality Teams activity in the areas of team structure, problem-solving methodology (including 8D and DMAIC), and assure Statistical Process Control tools are utilized throughout the plant that comply with standards.
  • Promote a zero loss mindset and help manufacturing achieve targeted "First Time Through" and Uptime.
  • Champion the plant M-10 vehicle evaluation process, including vehicle prep, data collection and analysis, and reaction.
  • Manage the plant internal Quality Hotline process and the external NJQC Hotline process
