About The Position

Our work depends on a VDI Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Washington, D.C., Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA. As a VDI Engineer supporting the Government, you will be charged with engineering solutions for baseline VDI builds to ensure upgrades are incorporated before operating system (OS) end-of-life. In this role, a typical day will include: Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructures for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies Identifies, designs, and implements process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations Develop system architecture and system design documentation Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility

Requirements

  • REQUIRES AN EXISTING/ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH CI POLYGRAPH
  • Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Clustering Failover
  • Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures
  • Expertise in the Windows 10/11 - Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.
  • Experience with Remote Desktop Service (RDS) on Windows Server 2019/2022
  • Ability to deploy Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) on Windows Server 2019/2022
  • DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.
  • Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required and IT environment specified within the task order

Responsibilities

  • Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructures for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies
  • Identifies, designs, and implements process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
  • Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
  • Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
  • Develop system architecture and system design documentation
  • Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
  • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
