About The Position

Our work depends on a VDI Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA. As a VDI Engineer supporting the Government, you will be charged with engineering solutions for baseline VDI builds to ensure upgrades are incorporated before operating system (OS) end-of-life. In this role, a typical day will include: • Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructures for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies • Identifies, designs, and implements process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability • Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology • Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations • Develop system architecture and system design documentation • Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility

Requirements

  • REQUIRES AN EXISTING/ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH CI POLYGRAPH
  • Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Clustering Failover
  • Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures
  • Expertise in the Windows 10/11 - Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.
  • Experience with Remote Desktop Service (RDS) on Windows Server 2019/2022
  • Ability to deploy Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) on Windows Server 2019/2022
  • DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.
  • Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required and IT environment specified within the task order
