Position Summary The VDC Senior Designer is responsible for producing and coordinating detailed electrical models for large-scale commercial and mission critical projects. This role supports preconstruction and field operations by developing accurate, constructible designs that align with project specifications and schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical modeling for commercial or mission critical projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard BIM/VDC software.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction documents.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical models.
- Perform clash detection and coordination with other trades.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure modeling accuracy.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Pre-Construction teams.
- Support prefabrication planning and layout development.
- Revise models to reflect design changes and field adjustments.
- Maintain documentation and modeling standards.
