VDC Coordinator (Remote)
About The Position
The Superior is looking for a highly motivated and organized VDC Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. This fully remote position will work on a number of innovative and exciting projects in a variety of market sectors including datacenters, higher education, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial projects. Requirements
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician, or an electrical engineer
- You have experience with power distribution 120V/480V up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways and transformers
- You have experience in reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications and equipment submittals
- You have experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial and/or higher education facilities
Nice To Haves
- You have experience with fire alarm, telecommunication, security, EPMS and BMS
- You have experience in preparing 2D layouts or installation drawings for construction job sites
- You have familiarity with the NEC and other construction industry codes and standards
- You have familiarity with modeling software such as REVIT, Navisworks, Bluebeam
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for facility installation
- Prepare facility installation and prefabrication drawings
- Prepare panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information
- Coordinate and interface with project management staff
- Review project drawings, specifications and submittals
- Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practices
- Contribute to developing department BIM/Layout standards
- Attend project BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings
