About The Position

Operates the VCM Production unit to meet production, quality, safety and environmental standards by performing the following duties.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Process Technology from college or technical school; or five years operations experience; or two years Vinyl Chloride operations related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors process variables and makes adjustments to operate within the parameters as established in standard operating procedures and log sheets.
• Monitors rotating equipment for proper operation.
• Operates manual valves.
• Samples and analyzes process samples.
• Operates personnel computers and the DCS (distributed control system).
• Communicates plant status and abnormalities orally and through written logs.
• Troubleshoots process abnormalities.
• Evaluates and makes recommendations for process improvements.
• Performs minor maintenance.
