About The Position

This job location is in Chicago, IL, and you must be able to reliably commute there on workdays. Lucky Lincoln Gaming is hiring a part-time Vault Technician to serve as part of the Northern Illinois Operations team and to process, count, verify, and strap cash collected from our Video Gaming Terminals. The Vault Technician will process all cash secured by route collectors within our Northern Illinois region. The Vault Technician records cash activity, prepares bank deposits, readies cash for the filling of our Redemption Terminals (ATMs), resolves reconciliation issues, and supports the accounting processes by maintaining accurate logs within our ledger software. The successful candidate must be 21 years or older, have strong math skills, be detail-oriented, and pass a detailed background check with the Illinois Gaming Board and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations. Requirements

  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Accounting and mathematically inclined.
  • Strong moral character and work ethic.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs. at any time.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in cash handling, accounting, or processing (ideally in banks, high volume retail or arenas/stadiums etc.)
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to pass a background check and obtain a Terminal Handler’s license from the Illinois Gaming Board required.
  • Available to work Fridays through Tuesdays, between 11 AM and 7 PM

Responsibilities

  • Cash handling, processing, and balancing.
  • Accurate data entry into Ledger software.
  • Assembly of bank deposits and outgoing cash orders.
  • Research and resolve out-of-balance conditions.
  • Assist route collectors in resolving data entry issues.
  • Management of coin levels and coin orders.
  • Operate currency counting, sorting, and strapping machines.
  • Maintain an adequate cash reserve to meet the needs in an emergency.
  • Follow established policies and procedures with regard to vault operations and security.
  • Identify and communicate reconciliation issues with the accounting department.
  • Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures.
  • Create a coin bag for routes for the following day
