About The Position

The Visual Art Studies (VAST) program seeks a Digital Media/Graphic Design professional to lead a three-session workshop within the VAST Summer Art Studio, a 5-day studio art camp for high school students. While the camp runs Monday through Friday, this position is responsible only for three afternoon digital media sessions. Students will complete a focused logo design project, learning foundational design principles and culminating in vinyl cutting and heat press production.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Studio Art, or related field
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
Teaching or workshop experience
Experience working with high school students

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver three structured 3-hour workshop sessions
Introduce foundational graphic design concepts (vector graphics, typography, layout)
Guide students in Adobe Illustrator
Prepare files for vinyl cutting and heat press application
Provide individual feedback and maintain a safe, organized digital workspace
