About The Position

Vascular Technologist Grundy County Memorial Hospital Shift: Thursdays - 8 Hour Day Shift The Vascular Technologist provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic equipment in accordance with those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and has demonstrated competency. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in vascular diagnostics
  • Current registry in vascular sonography through the ARDMS or CCI.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinical assessments and diagnostic ultrasound exams per clinic policies for adult patients.
  • Uses cognitive sonographic skills and independent judgment to identify, record, and adapt exams based on anatomical and pathological findings.
  • Analyzes sonograms, integrates patient history, prepares preliminary reports, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.
  • Initiates billing for completed exams and maintains active registry status.
  • Collaborates with interpreting physicians and participates in accreditation and department quality improvement processes.
  • Coordinates work schedule with leadership to ensure proper coverage and smooth workflow.
  • Ensures patient safety and physical/mental comfort during all sonographic procedures.
  • Organizes daily workload, performs accurate clerical duties, troubleshoots equipment, and initiates repairs as needed.
  • Maintains required licenses/certifications and performs additional duties as assigned to support effective office operations.
