Overview: Schedule: Nights, 7p-7a, (3) 12hr shifts, every 3rd weekend with holiday requirement, 36 hrs./week. 0.6-0.9 FTE available Job Description Summary: Inserts and manages vascular access devices for patients undergoing medical treatments. Job Description: Essential Functions: Assesses patients' vascular access needs and determining the most appropriate access device. Cares and maintains peripheral intravenous catheters, midline catheters, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs). Monitors patients' vascular access devices for complications, such as infection, occlusion, and extravasation. Provides education to patients and their families on vascular access care and maintenance. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement vascular access policies and procedures. Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and efficacy of vascular access care.
