About The Position
The Vanpool Intern will assist the department with day-to-day duties as needed, such as performing annual vehicle site inspections of 400 vehicles at offsite locations and preparing follow-up reports to send to customers. The Intern will assist with other projects to create and update department documents and data collection spreadsheets for operational functions. Essential functions include: Conducting and assisting with vehicle inspections using FastField mobile application, which involves driving and creating follow-up emails to document and communicate results. Assisting with creating and maintaining spreadsheets for data collection and the Contraction Information Collection Project. Assisting with updating non-traditional groups’ monthly reports, ridership logs, and expense forms. Assisting with traditional groups’ Route Sheet Project. Assisting with other projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record history.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and working towards a degree in General Education, Business, Communications, Psychology, or other related field.
- Must demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, frequently stand and/or walk within an office environment, lift and carry up to 25lbs, use a keyboard and type for prolonged periods.

- Customer service and FastField mobile application experience are preferred.
