About The Position

Weymouth Public Schools is seeking van monitors to accompany students with disabilities from their homes to the schools they attend.

Requirements

• 5 Hours per school day - School Year Only (with possible summer work)
• Experience with special needs students preferred
• Perform other duties as requested by the Transportation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Assist van driver in assuring seat belts, harnesses and wheel chair clamps are secured as required
• Consult with and assist van driver in documentation of student information and recordkeeping
• Assist the van driver in maintaining discipline on school van; monitor and assist students while bus is in operation
• Assist with safe loading, unloading and seating arrangement of students as required
