Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years full time experience with children or youth OR; Associate's degree plus 2 years full time experience with children or youth OR; Bachelor's (BA/BS)d degree preferred
  • Good driving record and good driving skills
  • Good verbal & written communication skills and be team oriented

  • All positions require a valid driver's license in good standing, and pre-employment drug screening.
  • All candidates, if hired, will be expected to cooperate with Oaks Integrated Care and The Department of Human Services in all inspections and investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consumers to and from Adult Partial Care programs
  • Transport to consumers scheduled for intake/enrollment
  • Organize and keep records regarding transportation schedule and mileage
  • Consumer safety, including mandatory fastening of seatbelts of driver and all passengers
  • Maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness
  • Never leave consumers on the van unattended
  • Provide for consumer safety including mandatory fastening of seat belts for all occupants of vans
  • Ensure infants and children are secured in appropriate car seats
  • Notify supervisory staff of any van maintenance, safety issues, or consumer issues
  • Assist with building support activities as needed: mail delivery, meal preparation and serving, program related errands, light housekeeping, supply organization, and vehicle cleaning
  • Maintain courteous interactions with consumers and community members
  • Other duties assigned
