About The Position

Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Rock Hill, SC. They operate nationwide on challenging construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. The company is actively seeking skilled Valve Technicians for various locations across the US. This role involves performing comprehensive overhauls, maintenance, assessment, and repairs on a wide range of valves and their components. Key tasks include opening, inspecting, reassembling (including lapping, repacking, blue checks, and testing), and ensuring all calibration and documentation are thoroughly completed in adherence to applicable standards and procedures.

Requirements

• 3 years' experience with building/assembly valves in a shop or outage environment.
• Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties.
• Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Medical, psychological, background and substance abuse screening(s).
• Must be a citizen of the US, its possessions or territories, or lawful permanent resident as defined by USC 1101(a)(20), or protected individual as defined by USC 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

• Overhauls consist of open and inspect of various valves and components, and reassembly to include but not limited to lapping, repacking, assembly, blue checks, and testing.
• Experience with the various valve types and may include: JP5, Potable Water, Scupper Valves, Trip Throttle, Racks, Flood Control Accumulators, Main Seawater, Aux Seawater, Relief Valves, Gate Valves, Globe Valves, Lube Oil Coolers, Purifier Heaters, Governor Valves, and Air Ejectors.
• Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
• Follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all standards that apply to the job.
• May perform maintenance, assessment, and repairs on various types of valves.
