Safety Valve Technician
About The Position
As a Safety Valve Assembler, you will assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material. Performs functional testing on assemblies. Tests assemblies per customer and/or division criteria. Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards. Applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools. Performs torquing of various components. Distributes quality notifications (qn's). Repairing safety relief valves to National Board VR Code. Testing safety valves with air, water, & steam. Reading and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring charts. Understanding of Steam boiler operating and testing. Applying measurement & math skills to verify critical dimensions. Performing machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs. Performing valve write-up. Understanding the Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API, and ASME standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years related experience
- 1+ Years experience with the Assembly of Safety Valves
- Experience working with Dial Calipers
- Experience working with Micrometers

- Experience working with Consolidated products
- Reading and interpretation of assembly manuals
- Good communicator
- Attention detail
- SAP familiarity (ERP systems)
