About The Position

EMH&T is currently looking for a CDL B Driver with Tanker Endorsement, for our Infratechnologies Division, who will work with the operator and provide assistance on a sewer cleaning team setting up specialized equipment associated with the cleaning, inspection or maintenance of storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems. Other duties involve the collection of data and working in and around sanitary and storm sewers. The work is often physically demanding and sometimes hazardous conditions exist.   Qualifications Candidates must possess a valid CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement for the state of Ohio. High school diploma. On the job training will be provided. Competencies Punctuality, dependability, and hold the highest integrity. A team oriented individual will succeed in this collaborative organization and will work as a member of a small team.   Must be able to follow verbal or written directions.   Ability to be thorough, read and interpret sewer system maps and plans, accurately read and record data.   Recognize and react quickly and appropriately to unusual or threatening conditions in work environment. Must be able to utilize small hand tools and power tools, such as a hammer drill.  Use of electronic office equipment, bending and twisting and manual dexterity to enter confined spaces and to exit quickly in the event of an emergency.  Physical Demands The ability to drive a tanker truck weighing up to 66,000 lbs. The ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and tolerate outdoor allergens for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per day) for the majority of the year.   The ability to stand for extended periods of time during the majority of the workday. The physical strength to reach above shoulders to retrieve and restore aluminum tubes, 3-ft. to 6-ft. in length, and connect to each other to perform operations. The ability to drag 1.5-inch industrial hose line for up to 100 yards and restore. The ability to lift and set aside 60-100-lb. manhole covers using manhole hooks. The ability to work in and around sanitary and storm sewage, bacteria, and debris; including withstanding potentially strong smells associated with the sewage. Travel - Some overnight travel may be required. Typically back home for weekends.  Must have a clean driving record and submit to random drug testing.
