About The Position

The Vaccine Coordinator shall be responsible for managing and providing support for New Medical Health Care vaccine program. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Oversee all operations of vaccine management program. Ordering, administering, and inventory control of vaccines including tracking usage, wastage and administration, and updating immunization information. Develops and maintains updated administrative policies and materials necessary for vaccine administration. Leads program development of vaccine education tailored to New Medical patients Maintain accurate, detailed documentation related to vaccine handling, storage and administration. Quality data management to ensure internal controls and patient safety, and to monitor improvements in vaccine uptake throughout New Medical Works with and assists nursing administration as necessary Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Performance Measures: Performs all Essential Job functions and responsibilities. Maintains a professional and positive attitude, appearance and relationship with patients and staff. Observes facilities guidelines and polices.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in clinical setting required.
  • Must be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Kansas.
  • BLS required.
  • Knowledge of using standard office equipment.
  • Strong clinical management skills.
  • Strong aptitude for multi-tasking in fast paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail and organization.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires full range of bodily motion
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Vision and hearing to normal range.

Nice To Haves

  • Vaccine administration and patient education experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
