About The Position

USA Environmental, Inc. is seeking a UXO Safety Officer to support an upcoming project in Sanderson, TX. The project mobilization date is March 8, 2026 through March 24, 2026.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen unless exception approved by the U.S. Government;
  • Valid state driver’s license;
  • Ability to handle in a safe manner the vehicle assigned to drive within and in the vicinity of the site;
  • Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia, or Graduate of a UXO-TI Course or the EOD assistant’s course;
  • Never been removed from an UXO assignment for personnel reliability reasons or unsatisfactory performance of duties, substantiated by official documentation;
  • Graduate of an OSHA-compliant (29 CFR 1910.120(e)(4)) 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training Course;
  • Possesses an understanding of applicable explosives safety criteria and experience in the various phases of a munitions response to MEC or the conduct of range clearance activities, as appropriate for the operations to be performed;
  • Must have completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training and earned a Department of Labor Construction Safety Course Completion Card;
  • Must have either successfully completed training as a quality professional (i.e., ISO 9001 internal auditor or ASQ quality auditor, possess a quality-professional certification by a recognized organization (e.g., USACE or NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors, or receive company-and project-specific QC training and work under the supervision of a certified quality professional;
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of QC and QA practices associated with MEC-related activities and managing and processing MPPEH, including documentation of its explosives safety status;
  • Eight (8) or more years of documented experience in performing range clearance operations. Experience may be a combination of both active duty military EOD experience and contractor UXO experience as defined in the current DDESB TP-18 (10 years required for UXO-T1 Course graduates). A minimum of .5 years MEC supervisory experience for EOD school graduates and 2 years MEC supervisory experience for UXO-TI course graduates. Note: Credit for EOD experience in National Guard or Reserve Units will be based on the actual documented time spent on active duty, not on the total time of service.
