About The Position

Fabuwood is seeking a UI/UX designer to work in-house, creating innovative solutions for multiple projects. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of front-end technologies, user experience, and visual design.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to articulate concepts and design to a variety of key stakeholders
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to align agreement with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
  • Attention to detail and organized with design deliverables
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • A minimum of 4 years related working experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and working experience
  • Continuous demonstration of excellence and a recommendation by the individual’s immediate supervisor may qualify one who does not meet the above prerequisites

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience in creating beautiful, highly functional user-interfaces for web and software applications
  • Ability to translate business requirements into sitemaps, wireframes, visual mockups, and design prototypes to assist in recommending design solutions
  • Understands information architecture and technology and values its importance to overall application design
  • Comfortable with the design process at any stage
  • Ability to drive a project from brainstorm, conception, to completion
  • Have the natural instinct to introduce best-practice UI/UX techniques as well as provide expert insight
  • Strong visual design skills
  • Expert understanding of typography, layout, and color theory
  • Experience working with design systems and component libraries
  • Passion for web standards and emerging technologies
  • Ability to view a project as a complete user-experience
  • Ability to instill simplicity in designs to solve problems
  • Learns how to analyze user stories and provides estimated story points to complete a task or story
  • Recipient of Code and Design reviews
  • Follows all current design, and coding standards and guidelines
  • Enters time into appropriate time tracking tools; logs time against all work items
  • Works with automation testers to resolve issues identified during the testing of changes to the system prior to the end of the sprint
  • Participates in all Agile Ceremonies, including: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Retrospective, and any other ad hoc meetings deemed appropriate by the team
