About The Position

Navitas is seeking a UX / Service Designer to support human-centered design initiatives for state and government clients. This role focuses on designing testable prototypes, facilitating collaborative workshops, and producing high-quality design artifacts to support solution evaluation and delivery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within structured government environments while maintaining a strong focus on accessibility and user experience.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in UX design or service design
Experience creating low- to mid-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder validation
Proven ability to facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with diverse audiences
Familiarity with accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA
Experience working within State or government-mandated IT tools and environments

Experience supporting state or federal government programs
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences

Responsibilities

Design and develop testable prototypes to support solution evaluation and stakeholder validation
Facilitate co-design workshops and engage cross-functional stakeholders, including non-technical participants
Create journey maps, service blueprints, and visual design artifacts to communicate user experiences
Develop and maintain sprint documentation, including design files and prototype deliverables
Ensure all design outputs align with accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA
Collaborate within State-mandated IT tools and environments, adapting to required platforms and constraints
Support iterative design processes and continuous improvement across project lifecycles
