Own and drive end-to-end user research studies across multiple product verticals. 2. Identify the best research methods and questions to ask across all phases of the product development lifecycle with business goals, timelines, and resourcing in mind. 3. Design and conduct research activities to inform concepts and design directions and ultimately improve the end user experience. 4. Perform quick but thorough analysis to create actionable findings and communicate timely results and opportunities 5. Interact regularly with a wide variety of stakeholders to share and document knowledge across teams and the organization. 6. Manage a queue of multiple simultaneous studies and projects – some of which you lead, some of which are led by designers, PMs, engineers, and others. 7. Mentor and assist others in implementing large and small portions of the end-to-end research process (e.g., forming objectives, observing sessions, analysis, reporting). 8. Raise UX and research fluency throughout the organization and grow knowledge in additional design research areas (e.g., user research, brand, trends). Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Science or a related discipline and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, applied user research, or related occupation. Experience must include: (1) 1 year of experience in all aspects of the UX research lifecycle including study design, stakeholder involvement and consideration, planning, recruiting, moderation, extracting actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data, reporting, communicating, data visualization, and knowledge management. (2) 1 year of experience in core usability tools and platforms and research methods including qualitative and quantitative, attitudinal and behavioral, and generative and evaluative. (3) 1 year of experience in data management and analyzing and reporting quantitative data using tools including Excel or Tableau. (4) 1 year of experience in synthesizing literature review in academia or market research. (5) 1 year of experience leading research for consumer-facing digital products, web and mobile. (6) 1 year of experience in communicating research insights to executive leadership of director level and above to drive impact. (7) 1 year of experience in providing research mentorship and guidance to fellow researchers, designers, product managers, and cross-functional partners via office hours, workshops, or other means of facilitation. The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $161138 - $176000 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Requirements

  • Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Science or a related discipline and 1 year of experience in the job offered, applied user research, or related occupation.
