The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are: develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth. Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our interns will have the flexibility of working 2 days remotely, and 3 days in the office per week at one of our state-of-the-art offices in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York City. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year. The UX team is hiring a UX Designer Intern. The UX team at Cboe is growing to be the innovation backbone of the company, through extensive cross-departmental and user research, we gather valuable insights that drive our projects forward, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Crafting reliable applications and engaging mock-ups to solve complex challenges while supporting developers and the Design Systems they rely on. The UX intern will have real-world experience collaborating with senior designers, stakeholders, software engineers and will be able to contribute to our growth and company.

Requirements

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in the "User Experience Design" field (UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or similar) with a strong interest in the financial markets, and not graduating before December 2025.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments, work well on a team or on your own, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge or experience working with Design systems and Design Tokens.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and engage with the company design system expansion.
• Research and produce artifacts on specific application projects.
• Create engaging mockups/prototypes for a product while communicating with the business, stakeholders and handoff to development.
