About The Position

Regions Hospital is seeking a professional with prior utilization review experience to join our Utilization Management department in a Coordinator role. This position provides analysis of patient records to determine the legitimacy of admission, the appropriate level of care, treatment, and length of stay to comply with government and insurance company reimbursement policies. Communicates patient care status to the commercial and government payers as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a healthcare related field - Or- 4 years’ experience in healthcare related field may substitute for degree
• 3 years with quality and/or utilization review, billing, prior authorization or financial counseling

Responsibilities
