About The Position
The Shop Utility position supports shop operations by performing entry-level maintenance and facility tasks to improve technician efficiency and overall shop productivity.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a post-hire drug screen, background check and employment verification
Responsibilities
- Maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping and general upkeep of work areas using appropriate equipment
- Run for parts and assist with driver transportation (following drivers, pickups, and rides as needed)
- Assist with tire removal and installation
- Operate torches as needed (cutting/removal support)
- Perform basic mechanical repairs, including hose replacement, valve replacement, brakes, and other bolt-on components
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including lube, oil, and filter services on power units
- Assist with tractor detailing and general equipment cleaning as needed
- Ride along with drivers as needed to gain an understanding of operations and equipment use
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
