About The Position

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are seeking an experienced Utility Clerk (Forklift Operator) for Shipping / Warehouse in its Kirksville, MO envelope manufacturing facility -- 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). The position pays $18.46/hr depending on experience + $1.25/hr shift premium for 2nd shift. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of two (2) years of forklift work experience in a similar role in a warehouse/shipping/production environment and the ability to perform in a high volume environment work with speed and accuracy. Job Summary Under general supervision, receives product into the warehouse storage area and prepares product or materials for shipment per order specifications.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
A minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
Valid driver's license and forklift/power truck certification.
Requires thorough knowledge of the shipping/receiving function and warehouse operations.
Requires data entry, math, computer and good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with various levels of the organization/vendors.
Solid attention to detail; reliable
Requires frequent standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity required to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination, and the utilization of color vision.
Must wear safety shoes constantly.
Regular attendance and the willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near warehouse, plant, or work site.
Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks and shelves by hand or fork lift.
Prepares products for shipment; keeps record of goods shipped.
Counts and compares quantity and identification numbers of units against order.
Prepares identifying information (labeling) and shipping instructions on containers.
Notifies supervisor of any major incidence of damage to materials received or scheduled to be shipped.
Prepares and/or maintains computerized warehouse/shipping documents to coordinate or schedule the routine work of warehouse support staff.
Maintains a computerized inventory of received and shipped goods to provide status reports to management, sales, suppliers or customers as required.
Receives, unpacks, and examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and other records; route incoming goods to departments.
Compliant and supportive of all safety guidelines/requirements.
Follows all documented and accepted company, plant and department policies and procedures with special attention to safety guidelines and practices.
Reports any and all uncontrolled hazards, injuries, and near misses to shift supervisor.
Suggests and participates in safety improvements such as job hazard analysis, audits, inspections, etc.
Routes incoming goods to departments using a forklift or hand truck.
Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, etc./ places in proper containers or areas.
Sweeps and cleans up work area during and at the end of shift.
Other duties and assignments as required.
