Position Summary: Under general supervision, is responsible for the washing and sanitizing of dishes, silverware, utensils, pots and pans used by the kitchen in service of residents and personnel.

Requirements

Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
Experience preferred, but not necessary.
Ability to remain flexible and ready to assume other responsibilities assigned.
Applicant must have an interest in improving skills.
Must have a working knowledge of dishwashing machine and procedures used to wash dishes in a large kitchen.
Applicant must be willing to perform manual work cooperatively with others.
Requires standing for long periods, walking and heavy lifting.
May walk on wet surfaces.
Will work with cleaning chemicals and hot water.
