About The Position

The goal of the Patient Transport Department is to transport patients in a safe and timely manner throughout the medical complex, promote the safety and well being of all patients that we serve, and maintain transport equipment within the medical complex. Patient Transport employs a state of the art Tele-Tracking system to facilitate and coordinate assignments throughout the hospital to support efficiency and customer/patient care. Patient Transport offers career opportunities starting in entry level progressing into lead, trainer, supervisor, and management positions.
Role Purpose
Supports the operations of department and provides maintenance/engineering services. Performs established functions assigned to the various crafts at the entry level.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Uses personal protective equipment and adheres to regulatory guidelines.
• Completes preventative maintenance duties on schedule and according to department procedures.
• Assists mechanics and completes minor repairs under the direction of the supervisor.
• Assists supervisor with maintaining and tracking inventory of supplies, tools and equipment needed to complete work orders.
