About The Position

The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a full time Utility Worker I for the Water Main Replacement Crew . Our Utility Workers earn competitive hourly rates from $25.98 to $38.97 (top of grade) with an expected starting hourly rate of $25.98 to $32.49 . As part of our Water and Sewer Division , you will be particip ating in the work of the crew that is responsible for the replacement of water mains in the City's water distr ibu tion system. Generally, your schedule will be daytime hours Monday through Friday, but overtime hours may be required occasionally . Other duties and responsibilities include: Participating in water distribution maintenance and repair activities, specifically water mains. Assisting with repairs to plumbing, process equipment and electrical system . Operating a variety of machinery and heavy equipment such as skid steer, wheel loader and backhoe. Repairs streets, driveways and yards following maintenance operations Monitors inventory of parts, supplies and chemicals Communicates with co-workers on processes and job activities. Maintaining assigned tools and equipment. Responding to emergency situations Assisting other city crews as needed Could this be the opportunity for you? Requirements

Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of water distribution systems
Knowledge of the operation and preventative maintenance of a variety of equipment
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid commercial driver's license (Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement.) Paid CDL Training Program available to new hires that do not currently have a CDL
