About The Position

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Utility Worker/Driver to join our team! Responsibilities Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager Frequently travel locally using the company van for deliveries and pickups, ensuring efficient handling Perform general building and vehicle maintenance tasks, ensuring facilities are safe and functional Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, including landscaping and minor repairs Engage in general labor and construction tasks as needed Collaborate with various departments within the shop, such as Fixture Build and CNC Machining, to support their operations All employees are required to work within the confines and responsibilities of the quality system. Qualifications Must possess a valid driver’s license for transportation needs Demonstrated ability to understand and work with mechanical systems Comfortable using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks Enjoys working with their hands and solving practical problems Must be a team player and willing to assist in other areas as needed Must have strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workloads Prepared to work overtime when necessary, adjusting hours based on project demands Must possess a valid and current driver's license Only U.S. Citizens may be considered for this role Ability to lift 25+ lbs Preferred Qualifications Prior exposure to a manufacturing or build environment Familiarity with operating shop machinery is highly advantageous Interest in learning a trade such as welding, machining, fixture building, or quality assurance Experience driving a hi-lo or operating a crane Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off and Holiday pay Employer matching 401K Overtime Pay: Time and a half after 40 hours Tuition Reimbursement Flexible Spending Programs (FSAs) Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance Employee Referral Program Additional Voluntary Benefit Programs Off-site company events & Employee Luncheons Who are we?
