About The Position

The Utility Technician supports the service department and overall company operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks across job sites, the yard, and the shop. This position is essential in maintaining workflow, reducing downtime, supporting technicians, and providing assistance to the sales and rental teams as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
• Basic knowledge of heavy equipment is a plus but not required
• Willingness to learn and grow in the construction equipment field
• Reliable and professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification or experience
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in working toward a tech career
• Able to work independently and with teams
• Good communication and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with basic mechanical tasks (fetching tools, prepping machines, cleaning components).
• Perform machine washdowns and general clean-up for incoming/outgoing equipment.
• Keep the yard and shop organized, clean, and safe.
• Perform light maintenance on shop tools and equipment.
• Load and unload parts, machines, and attachments with proper rigging and safety.
• Deliver parts and tools to job sites.
• Act as a second set of hands for field technicians when needed.
