Biomedical Device Utility Technician Position Overview This position is for a Utility Technician in a Biomedical Center who will handle the flow of biomedical devices. The role requires working Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM and involves various responsibilities related to processing medical equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of related experience
- Prior shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Managing inbound and outbound flow of biomedical devices
- Performing data entry for inventory management
- Receiving, cleaning, and packaging medical devices
- Shipping outbound devices to customers or facilities
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling potentially infectious materials
- Validating receipts and ensuring accuracy of received items
- Maintaining clean work areas for safety and compliance
- Meeting individual and department productivity goals
