Utility Steward (Employee Dining Room)

We are seeking a Utility Steward to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Utility Steward will be responsible for completing special cleaning projects as assigned, following hotel specifications and standards. Includes cleaning and maintaining equipment and dishwashing/kitchen/cafeteria/compactor/storage areas, while assisting in other stewarding functions as assigned. We have a full-time position available. All candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights. This role is designated to support our Employee Dining Room.
Requirements
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in job-related English.
- Ability to count.
- Ability to perform duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and cooperativeness.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to adapt to meet priority changes of workflow or requirements.
- Ability to operate designated machinery.
- Ability to remain extremely alert while operating machinery.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares.
- Ability to withstand high temperatures, moisture, and noise levels in work areas.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in cleaning various work areas.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
- Previous experience in janitorial/cleaning position.
- Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations.
- Certification in sanitation.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Ability to communicate in a foreign language – Creole or Spanish.
