About The Position
The Utility Polisher will work within a polish department able to perform polishing operations predetermined by the polishing department supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous experience in metal polishing or a similar production environment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with polishing wheels, compounds, and finishing techniques. (Not interested in "hand polishing" or "auto detailing" experience)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Operate polishing wheels and other finishing tools to polish metal components to required specifications (bright, satin, or brushed finishes).
- Inspect parts before and after polishing to ensure surface quality and proper finish.
- Identify and correct surface defects such as scratches, pits, or tool marks.
- Maintain polishing wheels, tools, and work area to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Handle metal parts with care to avoid scratches, dents, or contamination.
- Follow safety protocols, including the use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, and dust masks.
