About The Position

Responsible for assisting in the line operation as directed by management and/or the line leaders to ensure safe, productive operations while maintaining predetermined quality standards. Assists the line leaders in the operation of the production lines. Performs changeovers and wash downs of the lines as required. Assists in ensuring quality and quantity of work produced is maintained according to line standards. Reports maintenance, quality and safety concerns to management and the line leads immediately. Ensures proper materials and ingredients are used. Learns what the line leads are responsible for and serves as a backup as needed. Must be able to lift 75 pounds as required. Must be able to operate a forklift as needed. Adheres to all common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required. Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as per management’s directives. Ensures work area is kept clean and orderly in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc. Responsible for coding on the boxes and bags; and ensures product is produced within specs. Checks and confirms that the wheels are chocked in the trailers being loaded. Performs other duties as assigned by the Freezer’s Production Supervisor and/or Lead.
