DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) is hiring an analyst to fill a Utility Energy Conservation Analyst 1 or 2 (UECA) position within the PUC's Bureau of Technical Utility Services (TUS). TUS UECA 1 and 2 staff work with senior UECA staff, other TUS and PUC staff, and TUS consultants to implement the requirements of various mandatory programs under state statutes and voluntary programs approved by the PUC. This position will receive training on PUC procedures, laws, orders, and energy regulation generally. The position will learn how to review and evaluate the filings and reports submitted by fixed utilities and the PUC's consultants. The position will also learn how to prepare written orders, reports, memos, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders. As a member of this team, you have the opportunity to be part of a passionate and fun group responsible with overseeing some of the fastest and most interesting topics facing the energy industry in Pennsylvania. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Energy Policy, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting Engineering or Physical Sciences and one year of utility energy related experience; or
  • A Bachelor's degree and two years of utility energy related experience; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
