This position is responsible for maintaining product flow and relieving team members on line for breaks and filling in during labor shortages while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for traying and setting eggs and making sure that the egg room is kept up. Requirements

  • Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (employment gap will be increased to 18 months if applicants have been laid off or providing child or elder care; previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months).
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push/pull 1000-1500 lbs. (on wheels).
  • Regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Willing to shower on-site and change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility.
  • No external jewelry may be worn on the jobsite excluding medical ID bracelets and necklaces.
  • Only body piercings covered by an on-farm clothing are permitted.
  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to not own and avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
  • Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product flow and relieve team members on line for breaks and fill in during labor shortages while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
  • Tray and set eggs.
  • Ensure the egg room is kept up.
  • Place hatching eggs in properly labeled buggies.
  • Place trayed eggs into the setters.
  • Clean and sanitize the egg room as well as other hatchery equipment (egg flats/trays, farm racks & setter buggies) using a high-pressure and regular water hose.
  • Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters.
  • Assist egg truck driver during pickups and deliveries.
  • Assist Chick truck driver with Broilers.
  • Operate a high-pressure and regular water hose.
  • Maintain foot pans and hand sanitizer.
  • Pack export eggs into cases.
  • Assist the Egg Room Lead/Shipping Clerk, Sanitation, & Chick Processing departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock out Tag out, and Personal Protective equipment.
  • Identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.
