Access to our full list of global benefits: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits What you will do: Apply engineering principles to oversee, design, and take ownership of primary plant HVACR and Utility systems, supporting operational decision-making. Provide technical analysis and troubleshooting for equipment, including Building Automation Systems (BAS), PI data, and flow path analysis to ensure reliability. Support plant maintenance teams by focusing on system lifecycle, reliability, and resolving major equipment breakdowns. Support CAPEX project planning, including scoping, cost estimation, and vendor communication for infrastructure upgrades. Coordinate FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), startup, and change requests to ensure project completion meets GMP compliance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system capacity, support technical standards development, and prioritize departmental projects. Maintain a safe work environment, adhere to training requirements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field) with 2-5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, EHS safety procedures, and Building Automation/HVAC systems. Ability to perform technical analysis, develop system-level design criteria, and provide operational guidance for industrial, preferably pharmaceutical, systems. Experience with AutoCAD (P&ID management, documentation control) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SAP. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams, coordinate technical execution teams, and guide professional engineering consultants. Strong logical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and adapt to shifting priorities, timelines, and demands in a fast-paced environment. Strong oral/written communication skills, with preferences for PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma training, and experience reading complex MEP/HVAC drawings.
