The Customer Service Division is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Utilities Account Supervisor (UAS). The Utilities Account Supervisor works in conjunction with the Utilities Services Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including but not limited to: Scheduling routes and assignments for Meter Readers, Field Representatives and as well as office support personnel. This is advanced professional administrative work dealing with Utility programs governed by County ordinances and resolutions and has extensive supervisory duties. The employee must exercise independent judgment and initiative in accomplishing job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent and four (4) years of customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer candidates with four (4) years of field work and previous meter reading experience throughout the Orange County Utilities Service area.
  • Candidate must be able to clearly communicate requirements while removing barriers and facilitating timely and accurate completion of service orders, routes and uploads.
  • Candidate must be able to facilitate a large diverse team base to maximize productivity and capitalize on different self-managing styles.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisor over daily activities of the Meter Services team including but not limited to scheduling and routing daily assignments for staff.
  • Being responsible for the customer service fleet including but not limited to: coordinating vehicle maintenance monitoring fuel reports and payment of toll charges.
  • Assists with complex inspections and audits as requested and periodically meet with internal/ external engineers.
  • Assists with Kronos time management, team member training, coaching and support, and processing performance evaluations.
  • Performs advanced research and coordination of proper resolution with respect to department issues and customer complaints to mitigate further escalation.
  • Assists with overseeing billing projects; including the ability to plan, delegate and execute project goals and objectives efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to remain firm while handling sensitive escalations yet is empathetic and responsive to customer needs.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
