About The Position

We are looking for a USS Curriculum, Assessment & Professional Learning Coordinator who will positively impact student success by designing, coordinating, and monitoring high-quality professional learning, curriculum fidelity, and equitable access to assessments across Unified Student Supports (USS). This cross-functional leadership role supports the continuous growth of staff in special education, 504, SEL, climate and culture, and specialized programming. Requirements

  • Ability to synthesize multiple data sources to design responsive and impactful professional learning.
  • Experience in adult learning design, instructional coaching, or school leadership with a focus on special populations.
  • Expertise in inclusive instructional practices including SDI, UDL, MTSS, and co-teaching.
  • Skilled in monitoring fidelity and impact of professional development and curriculum implementation.
  • Deep understanding of assessment accommodations and equity implications for diverse learners.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, anti-bias, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail in planning, logistics, and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build trust and credibility across roles and departments.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving mindset when navigating dynamic school contexts.
  • A collaborative, growth-oriented attitude that inspires continuous improvement and learning.
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in education, curriculum and instruction, special education, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in teaching, coaching, or school leadership with a focus on supporting diverse learners.
  • Deep familiarity with MTSS, UDL, IEP processes, and inclusive instructional practices.
  • Experience planning and delivering professional development for adult learners.
  • Ability to travel between schools as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Master's Degree in education, curriculum leadership, or related area.
  • Knowledge of Indiana state assessments and accommodations requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual needs assessments across USS functions to determine professional learning priorities; analyze surveys, walkthroughs, and coaching data to inform scope and sequence.
  • Facilitate and support role-specific professional development sessions across SPED, SEL, 504, Cadre, and Climate/Culture, aligned to district priorities and role expectations.
  • Maintain and manage a centralized professional learning resource library to ensure consistency and alignment across recurring PD series.
  • Conduct regular school walkthroughs to monitor fidelity of instructional practices, platforms, and materials introduced during PD sessions.
  • Track trends in coaching feedback and walkthrough data to identify learning gaps and recommend responsive supports.
  • Collaborate closely with Teaching & Learning (T&L) to ensure that Tier 1 instruction, MTSS, SDI, UDL, and co-teaching practices are coherent and accessible for all learners.
  • Promote consistent and effective use of curricular and supplemental instructional resources, especially in USS-aligned spaces such as resource rooms and special programs.
  • Identify barriers to fidelity in instructional implementation and address through targeted PD, coaching, or systems-level recommendations.
  • Design and deliver onboarding sessions for newly hired USS staff throughout the school year in partnership with USS Operations.
  • Support equitable assessment practices by developing clear accommodations/modifications guidance for students with disabilities, 504 plans, and McKinney-Vento eligibility.
  • Liaise with district testing leads to troubleshoot issues, refine assessment systems, and ensure inclusive access across state and district assessments.
  • Monitor and report monthly and quarterly key performance indicators related to PD participation, implementation fidelity, and assessment equity.
