About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is hiring a mail delivery driver/mail carrier for a USPS route in Tappahannock, VA. The role involves sorting and loading mail and packages, delivering them to customer boxes, and performing other administrative duties. This full-time position requires the driver to provide their own qualifying vehicle and work six days a week, typically Monday through Saturday, starting at 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds
• Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Tappahannock, VA.
• Must have a qualifying vehicle (Truck/SUV/Minivan with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance
• Must be available to start immediately

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.
• Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel.
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Other administrative duties are required.

Benefits

• Base Pay: $20.42 per hour
• Health & Welfare Allowance: $5.55/hour (capped at 40 actual work hours per week)
• Non-Taxable Vehicle Use Reimbursement of $0.70/mile (approximately $45.43/day)
• Holiday Pay: 11 Paid Holiday's [Government Holidays observed]
• Vacation Pay: 2 Weeks after one year of service
