About The Position

User Experience (UX) Researcher II is responsible for the design and execution of user research initiatives aimed at understanding user needs, behaviors, and pain points. You will collaborate closely with product designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that user insights are integrated into the design and development process, helping to create intuitive and user-centered products. This position is working onsite in Zeeland, MI, in an office, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in UX research or a related field.
  • Expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Proficiency with research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Maze) and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel).
  • Experience with synthesizing complex data and distilling insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in preparing and presenting research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to share research findings with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on designing and executing a wide range of research studies (e.g., usability testing, surveys, ethnographic research, user interviews, and field studies) to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to identify key trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Communicate findings clearly through reports, presentations, and artifacts like personas, user journey maps, and research briefs.
  • Lead usability testing sessions for prototypes, designs, and existing products.
  • Identify usability issues, prioritize them based on impact, and collaborate with design teams to iterate solutions.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that user insights are integrated into product roadmaps, design decisions, and development processes.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term research strategies that align with product and business goals.
  • Help define research objectives and prioritize studies based on impact and project timelines.
  • Advocate for a user-centered approach in decision-making processes.
  • Use research insights to support strategic initiatives and influence product design, functionality, and improvements in usability.
  • Continually keep internal stakeholders in the loop on study results and then, as needed, create detailed reports and other artifacts allowing them to clearly understand and prioritize user needs.
  • Prepare and present research findings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear, actionable insights are communicated effectively.
  • Stay current with UX research methodologies, trends, and best practices, and apply them to improve research processes and outcomes within the team.
