About The Position
Boise Airstream Adventures is seeking a Used Vehicle Buyer to secure high‑quality pre‑owned inventory through appraisals and off‑site auctions. This role coordinates and attends wholesale auctions, appraises units in-store, and negotiates pricing. Buyers evaluate RV and trailer condition, estimate reconditioning costs with Technicians, determine retail values, and make informed purchasing decisions. They also collaborate with other departments to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to travel up to %40 of the time.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
- High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence necessary for select roles.
Responsibilities
- Acquire used RV and trailer inventory through direct contacts, leads, auctions, dealers, customer inquiries, and other available sources.
- Appraise units, evaluate condition, negotiate pricing, and make sound purchasing decisions while ensuring timely processing of all acquisitions.
- Stay informed on retail trends and contribute to inventory planning.
- Deliver a professional, prompt, and accurate customer experience using lead-management tools.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while also operating independently as needed.
- Research the used RV/trailer market to generate leads and set appointments.
- Meet established buying quotas.
