About The Position
Neil Huffman Nissan Frankfort is looking for a Used Car Technician to join our team. The Neil Huffman Automotive group has been a family owned dealership for 57 years and is currently experiencing significant growth in our service department's traffic. Our business plan is to grow our service business by at least 15% annually over the next few years. Requirements
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen.
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Punctual and reliable
- Basic Computer skills
- Strong physical dexterity for working with tools.
Nice To Haves
- Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred.
- Certification in Acura, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda and Volkswagen brands are preferred but NOT required.

Responsibilities
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Perform Multi-Point inspections on pre-owned vehicles.
- Recondition as per used car managers authorization.
- Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
