Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of sales or related experience.
  • Two or more years of purchasing or buying recreational vehicles or similar experience.
  • Requires ability to hear and speak.
  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Requires ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard.
  • Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights, in and out of RVs and other like equipment.
  • Requires ability to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase late model RV’s at an approved price.
  • Prospect, qualify and negotiate with private parties and other dealers.
  • Coordinate the delivery and/or pick up units and payment with the Transportation Department and Business Office.
  • Ensure all DMV and other required paperwork is completed by the seller.
  • Verify titling documents are accurate and complete.
  • Obtain recreational vehicle or travel trailer inventory through company sourcing tools.
  • Effectively follow the purchasing process through a successful close to increase inventory and achieve buying goals, including timely completion of paperwork.
  • Set and negotiate pricing of inventory.
  • Understand reconditioning costs.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service with the upmost integrity.
  • Continually improve buying capabilities to increase income and fill company needs in an effective manner.
  • Continually follow up on uncompleted buys with sellers to increase closing ratio and inventory levels.
  • Regularly maintain current company approved CRM and Buyers Software apps.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product, market and industry knowledge.
  • Proactively support and work with other employees, departments and/or locations to give the customer seamless experience in ways that promote teamwork.
  • Keep accurate and legible records.
  • Adhere to all company policies, SOP’s and guidelines.
  • Adhere to all quality, safety, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as required by manager.
