USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Head Cook Sponsored by Food & Nutrition Services @ Salem Public Schools Program dates June 29, 2026 – August 21, 2026 Program length varies from 5-8 weeks, and days of operation vary depending on site need. Shift times will start as early as 7:00A.M. and end as late as 6:30 P.M., depending on the location. Please indicate your availability in your letter of interest. Summer Food Service Program: Head Cook needed for USDA SFSP Sponsor Program. Hours and days to be determined. 20-30 hours / week, $29 / hour. SFSP Procurement, Inventory Management, Production, Personnel Management, and Administration for SFSP serving sites. Must have knowledge of USDA SFSP regulations, meal patterns, online procurement, HACCP inventory control, and optimized production methods. Must be Serv-Safe Certified, Allergy Certified. A valid MA license is required. Interested Candidates shall submit a written statement of interest to either SPS Food & Nutrition Services ( [email protected] ) no later than April 17, 2026. All personnel will be required to successfully pass a CORI & attend mandatory training.
