About the position

As a Manager, Business Development for Data Ventures, you will be responsible for driving sales of SaaS subscriptions to Scintilla, Walmart's first party customer data platform. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, a strong sales acumen, and the ability to quickly forge productive relationships with key stakeholders across Walmart's supplier community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for Scintilla subscriptions.
  • Identify and target Walmart suppliers that can benefit from Scintilla's offerings.
  • Use Scintilla platform and other sources to understand industry trends, omni-channel sales performance improvement opportunities for brands and categories, and align customized value propositions to customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value of Scintilla.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive subscription sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop strategic partnerships that enhance the value proposition of Scintilla.
  • Work closely with outbound marketing teams to align sales strategies with product offerings.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Use CRM tools to manage sales pipeline and track customer interactions.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably in the data analytics or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of successful prospecting and achieving sales.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and its applications in business decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Healthcare, or related area.
  • Sales, Supervisory experience.
