About The Position

US Truck Driver Are you an experienced CDL Driver looking for a hands-on role where your skills make an impact? EMR, a global leader in metal recycling, is hiring a US Truck Driver to join our New Orleans, LA depot! What You’ll Do: Transport materials to and from designated locations in a safe and efficient manner. Pick up full containers and unloads in designated locations. Secure loads according to Department of Transportation guidelines. Maintain contact with Dispatch and Truck Drivers to get assignments and properly report trip numbers. Other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For: Must have a valid Class A license. General knowledge of State and Federal motor carrier regulations. General knowledge of mechanics involving trucks and trailers. Ability to operate the vehicle safely. Ability to work in a fast paced environment Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to multitask Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment. Customer service skills.
